About The Barn Company

From Humble beginnings

Looking for milder winters and dreams of making a permanent home out west, Don Lindemann loaded up his family of five with only the items that fit in the car and moved from Racine, Wisconsin to Caldwell, ID in 1969.  Shortly after, he started Don's Construction with his good friend, Don. After 10 great years together the two decided to part ways and Valley Construction was born. In 1976, while still in high school, Don's son Russ joined his side. Don worked the business diligently until retiring in his 70's. In 2015, Russ asked his son-in-law, Brock Cassity, to join him in the business. In 2023, with plans to become semi-retired, Russ passed the reins to Brock and The Barn Company LLC was born. The family legacy will continue and Brock is excited to see what the future holds.
